United States Senator Bill Hagerty (R-TN) has criticized President Joe Biden's fiscal year 2025 budget proposal, calling it late, wasteful, and lacking in addressing the issues faced by Americans. Hagerty expressed his concerns stating, "Like clockwork, President Biden delivered yet another late and wasteful budget proposal that taxes too much, spends too much, and fails to address the problems Americans are facing every day."

Hagerty further criticized the budget for its focus on immigration over border security, stating, "His budget is more focused on efficiently processing illegal immigrants into our country than reinstating meaningful border security policies to fix the crisis this Administration created."

The Senator made it clear that he opposes the budget proposal, asserting, "This disastrous proposal stands no chance of ever becoming law, and as a member of the Appropriations Committee, I will fight against using more of Americans’ hard-earned tax dollars to advance these failed Democrat policies."
