After opening their season with a series of road games, the Belmont Bruins baseball team is set to play its first home game at E.S. Rose Park in Nashville.

The team returns after a three-game stretch where they recorded a .296 batting average, collecting 29 hits and 17 RBIs. The standout performance was a 14–4 win that featured 17 hits from the lineup.

Several players have started the season with notable statistics. Brody Langlotz leads the team with a .500 average, five hits, one home run, and three RBIs. Charlie Davis has contributed with a .462 average and two doubles. Cavan McMeans is hitting .333 with one home run and three RBIs, while Landon Godsey holds a .300 average with two RBIs. As a group, Belmont has tallied six doubles and two home runs so far this season.

Pitching roles are still being defined as the staff builds depth early in the year. Tate Marland delivered an effective outing by allowing just one run over five innings for a win, while Shane Duke provided two scoreless innings in relief. Eleven pitchers were used during the opening series as coaches continue to evaluate options on the mound.

Belmont’s next opponent is Bellarmine University’s Knights, who are also seeking momentum in non-conference play early in their season. The Knights often use several pitchers during midweek games and focus on aggressive offensive tactics, presenting matchup challenges for opponents.

The upcoming game gives both teams an opportunity to refine their lineups and build consistency as they adjust to competition outside of conference play.

According to the press release: “The return to E.S. Rose Park gives Belmont an opportunity to translate that offensive momentum into a complete performance at home while continuing to sharpen execution defensively and on the mound. Midweek games are often key development opportunities, and the Bruins will look to pair continued production at the plate with more consistency from their pitching staff.”

This week marks not only Belmont’s first home game but also signals efforts to turn strong early performances into consistent results throughout the rest of their schedule.

Looking ahead, Belmont will host Central Michigan for a doubleheader on Friday, February 20 at E.S. Rose Park starting at 1:00 PM.
