Belmont University’s Women’s Track & Field team participated in the Indoor Music City Challenge at Vanderbilt University on February 13-14 in Nashville, Tennessee.
During Friday’s events, a Belmont athlete achieved the team’s first top-10 finish in the women’s 600-meter race with a time of 1:33.44. Later that evening, another team member placed first in her heat and ninth overall in the 5000-meter event, finishing with a time of 16:45.26.
On Saturday, a Belmont runner competed in the unseeded 400-meter race and finished third with a time of 57.07 seconds.
Several other athletes from Belmont set new personal records over the weekend by improving their previous times in the mile event.
The Bruins will next compete at the 2026 MVC Indoor Championships, scheduled for March 1-2 in Indianapolis.
