Belmont University Women’s Track and Field will participate in the Outdoor Music City Challenge hosted by Vanderbilt University, according to an April 30 announcement.

The event is the team’s final regular season meet before the Missouri Valley Conference Outdoor Championships, which are scheduled for May 16-18 in Terre Haute, Indiana. This meet offers athletes a last opportunity to prepare and make adjustments ahead of the conference championships.

“Vandy is our last meet of the regular season. Really a chance to fine tune things as we prepare for conference in a couple weeks. The team has been training well and improving from meet to meet this outdoor season so we hope to keep that trend going,” said Coach. “We have a few athletes that have been close to breakthroughs on the track, so I’m interested to see how , and do this weekend.”

Two weekends ago, Belmont’s women’s team delivered notable performances at the Georgia Tech Invitational, particularly in distance events and javelin throw. This weekend’s schedule includes a range of running and field events taking place from late morning into evening on both Friday and Saturday.
