Today, U.S. Senator Marsha Blackburn released a new episode of her series ‘Unmuted with Marsha,’ featuring White House National Economic Council Director Kevin Hassett. The discussion centered on the economic benefits of the One Big Beautiful Bill for Tennesseans and Americans.

Senator Blackburn and Kevin Hassett highlighted several key points about the bill, now enacted into law. These include an increase in take-home pay for families by $10,000, tax cuts on overtime and tips, a $6,000 bonus deduction for millions of low- and middle-income seniors, tax savings for Tennesseans, and enhanced border security measures.

Senator Blackburn shared an anecdote from a small business owner who benefited from previous tax cuts in 2017. “People in Tennessee are so excited that the bill is now signed into law,” she said.

Director Hassett praised the effectiveness of pushing the bill forward. He noted that it targets blue-collar and middle-class workers specifically. “Our own Council of Economic Advisers has estimated that this bill will increase the take-home pay for the typical family by about 10 to $13,000,” he stated.
