United States Senator Bill Hagerty expressed support for Whitney Hermandorfer, who has been nominated by former President Donald Trump to serve on the United States Court of Appeals for the Sixth Circuit. Senator Hagerty highlighted Hermandorfer’s Tennessee roots and her distinguished credentials.

“I am delighted that President Donald Trump has nominated Whitney Hermandorfer, a native Tennessean, to serve as a judge on the United States Court of Appeals for the Sixth Circuit,” Hagerty stated. He praised her extensive background, which includes clerking for Justices Alito and Barrett, as well as then-Judge Kavanaugh.

Hermandorfer completed her legal education at George Washington University, graduating at the top of her class. Her career includes serving as the leader of the Strategic Litigation Unit for the Tennessee Attorney General. Hagerty commended her character and legal expertise, calling Hermandorfer “principled, genuine, kind, and has a brilliant legal mind that will make all Tennesseans proud.” He pledged to actively support her confirmation in the Senate.
