Jeremy Faison, a member of the Tennessee House of Representatives, posted several statements on his Twitter account between April 30 and May 2, 2026. His tweets addressed topics including criticism of the National Education Association (NEA), support for a fellow politician’s book, and reactions to Democratic concerns about political fairness.

On April 30, 2026, Faison criticized the NEA and its recent assessment of Tennessee schools. He wrote: “The reason the teachers’ union goes after conservative states like Tennessee is simple: It’s America’s most godless, woke organization. So it’s no surprise the NEA just published a smear on TN schools, and ranked us last in per-pupil funding. But it’s a lie. Raw spending”.

The following day, May 1, 2026, Faison publicly expressed interest in reading a book by Senator Alexander. He stated: “Very much looking forward to reading your book @SenAlexander”.

On May 2, 2026, Faison responded to criticisms from Democrats regarding fairness in political processes with: “Really have zero $#!+s to give when the democrats scream about lines not being fair.”

The NEA regularly publishes reports ranking states by per-pupil education funding. According to its methodology, these rankings are based on data compiled from state education agencies and other official sources (source). Disputes over these figures often arise among policymakers who argue about how education spending should be measured or compared across states.

Faison has represented parts of East Tennessee since first being elected in 2010. He is known for his outspoken views on education policy and partisan issues within state government.
