Lipscomb secured a 73-51 win over North Alabama in its final home game of the season on Saturday at Allen Arena in Nashville. The victory improved Lipscomb’s record to 18-11 overall and 11-5 in ASUN play, while North Alabama fell to 8-19 and 3-13 in conference.

The game started slowly, with both teams struggling to score early. Lipscomb took an initial lead after a three-pointer from Charlie Williams but trailed by one point at halftime, 26-24. In the first half, turnovers and rebounding were issues for Lipscomb, as they committed seven turnovers and were outrebounded 21-16.

After halftime, the teams remained close until midway through the second half when Lipscomb began to pull away. Ross Candelino hit his third three-pointer of the night to give Lipscomb a lead they would not relinquish. A strong offensive stretch allowed Lipscomb to open up a double-digit advantage, highlighted by a 12-2 run capped by a Titas Sargiunas three-pointer.

Candelino led all scorers for Lipscomb with 16 points. Grant Asman contributed 12 points and eight rebounds, while Kellan Boylan added 10 points. As a team, Lipscomb shot 58% from the field and made 40% of its shots from beyond the arc. North Alabama narrowly won the rebounding battle with a total of 34 compared to Lipscomb’s 33.

Lipscomb will conclude its regular season on the road with two games remaining. The Bisons’ next matchup is against West Georgia on Wednesday, February 25 at 6 p.m. Central Time.
