Cunningham and Heuberger each drove in two runs during the opener to lead Lipscomb’s offense.
Game 2 saw Butler take control early with four runs in the second inning and another run in the fifth. Lipscomb began its comeback with Heuberger’s sacrifice fly in the third inning. In the sixth, Kyla Jobe drove in Brenna Sherman with a sacrifice fly before Kirby and Cunningham delivered RBI singles to narrow the gap.
