Lipscomb Women’s Golf was recognized on Apr. 22 with several honors in the ASUN Postseason Awards, as announced by the program. Casey Yu and Savannah Howell were named to the Third Team All-ASUN, while Maria Alcocer earned a spot on the ASUN All-Freshman Team. Four team members also received recognition for their academic achievements.

These awards highlight both athletic and academic accomplishments for Lipscomb’s athletes during the season. Recognition in conference awards is seen as an indicator of strong individual and team performance.

Casey Yu was selected for both the All-ASUN Third Team and the ASUN All-Academic Team, maintaining a 3.91 GPA in Finance and achieving a scoring average of 74.9 over 27 rounds. Her best tournament finish was third at the Magnolia Collegiate, and she is ranked No. 542 nationally.

Savannah Howell joined Yu on the All-ASUN Third Team with an average score of 74.8 across 27 rounds, three top-10 finishes—including sixth place at Magnolia Collegiate—and a national ranking of No. 570.

Maria Alcocer was named to the ASUN All-Freshman Team as one of the conference’s top-five-ranked freshmen at No. 880, averaging a score of 76.5 over her first season with her best result being a tie for twenty-fifth at Diamante Intercollegiate.

The Bisons also had four student-athletes honored on the Academic All-ASUN list: Yu; Katya Tibbetts (3.81 GPA in Molecular Biology), who averaged a score of 76.1 over thirty rounds; Sonja Tibbetts (3.82 GPA in Psychology), who competed in five events; and Christina Surcey (4.0 GPA in Finance), whose best finish came at twelfth place during the ASUN Championship.

These recognitions reflect both competitive results throughout tournament play and commitment to academics among Lipscomb Women’s Golf athletes.
