The Lipscomb University Women’s Tennis team finished the season ranked seventh in the Ohio Valley Region, according to a June 3 announcement from the university. This marks the second consecutive year that Lipscomb has earned a top-10 finish in the region.

Senior Sofiia Paladi was ranked 20th in singles for the region, also for the second straight year. Paladi, a native of Odessa, Ukraine, concluded her senior campaign with an overall singles record of 18-11. Competing at No. 1 singles during the spring season, she posted a record of 13-6 and received her third All-ASUN First Team selection.

During her four-year career with Lipscomb, Paladi accumulated 87 singles victories, including 57 dual match wins. In her last three seasons—each resulting in All-ASUN honors—she achieved a spring record of 47-12 and was particularly successful at No. 1 singles with a mark of 28-10.

The Bisons completed their season with an overall record of 14-7 and advanced to the semifinals of the ASUN Tournament as the No. 2 seed—the highest tournament seeding for Lipscomb since joining ASUN play in 2004. The team won nearly 62% of its singles matches and approximately 68% of doubles contests during spring competition.

In doubles play, Paladi teamed up with Deborah Dominguez Collado to go undefeated (11-0) at No. 2 doubles and compiled an overall partnership record of 14-2 on the season.
