One of West Precinct’s most wanted individuals was apprehended Monday evening for several outstanding warrants pertaining to an organized group responsible for shoplifting at high-end stores in the Green Hills Mall since 2021.

Antonio Crockett, 24, had six outstanding warrants at the time of his arrest, but was also wanted in multiple, surrounding counties.

Crockett has been identified in at least three theft cases at the mall. Most cases involve multiple suspects entering the store and stealing thousands of dollars’ worth of merchandise.

He was recently identified as one of eight suspects during an incident this past February where handbags were cut off security wires. The group was confronted by staff before running out of the mall and leaving in three vehicles.

Last week, patrol officers located Crockett on Jefferson Street as he was entering a vehicle registered to him. He fled at a high rate of speed.

He was arrested at his Antioch residence Monday.

Crockett was charged with three counts of felony theft, driving on a suspended license, evading arrest and probation violation. He is currently being held in lieu of $113,000.
