Mike Mancini was named to the All-Southeastern Conference (SEC) Second Team and the All-Defensive Team, according to a May 18 announcement from the league.

Mancini’s recognition comes as he stands out as one of only two SEC players this spring with at least 15 home runs and 15 stolen bases. The other player, Daniel Jackson of Georgia, was selected as SEC Player of the Year.

As a senior, Mancini leads his team in home runs with 15, including nine against SEC opponents. He also tops the Commodores in walks and stolen bases. With an on-base plus slugging percentage (OPS) of 1.043 and a team-high 13 multi-RBI games, he carries an eight-game hitting streak into the conference tournament.

Mancini is noted as being the first Commodore since Jeren Kendall in 2017 to achieve both at least 15 home runs and at least 15 stolen bases in a season.

Vanderbilt is set to face Kentucky on Tuesday during the opening round of the SEC Tournament in Hoover, Alabama.
