Representative John Gillespie marked several significant observances through posts on his official Twitter account in early April 2026. His messages highlighted themes of faith, sacrifice, and remembrance.

On April 3, 2026, Gillespie referenced the Christian observance of Good Friday with a message reflecting on its significance: “From the cross came redemption. On Good Friday, we remember the sacrifice that changed everything and continues to transform lives today.”

Two days later, on April 5, he acknowledged Gold Star Spouses Day by stating: “Gold Star Spouses Day acknowledges an extraordinary sacrifice—the loss of a beloved spouse in defense of our freedom. We remember them. We honor you.” Gold Star Spouses Day is recognized annually on April 5 to honor the surviving spouses of military service members who died while serving their country.

Later that same day, Gillespie posted about Easter: “This Easter, we honor the promise of new life, renewal, and the transformative power of faith. May this season fill your heart with joy and hope.” Easter is celebrated by Christians worldwide as a commemoration of the resurrection of Jesus Christ.

Gillespie serves as a state representative in Tennessee’s House of Representatives.
