Senator Marsha Blackburn, representing Tennessee, posted a series of tweets on July 22, 2025, expressing concerns about investigations involving former President Donald Trump and allegations against federal agencies and political figures.

In a tweet published at 14:28 UTC, Blackburn stated, “We won’t rest until we have answers on who exactly was involved in crafting the Russia Hoax and the witch hunt against President Trump.”

Later that day at 17:17 UTC, she added, “Time and time again, Democrats, the deep state, and the media have colluded to subvert President Trump and the will of the American people.

It’s time for accountability and justice.”

At 20:19 UTC on July 22, Blackburn also commented on former FBI Director James Comey’s handling of an investigation involving Hillary Clinton: “Under James Comey, the FBI turned a blind eye to Hillary Clinton’s corruption because he wanted her to be president.

These statements follow years of political debate over investigations into Russian interference in U.S. elections and scrutiny of federal law enforcement actions during both the Obama and Trump administrations. The so-called “Russia Hoax” refers to claims by some Republican officials that probes into alleged ties between Donald Trump’s campaign and Russia were unfounded or politically motivated. Investigations led by Special Counsel Robert Mueller found evidence of Russian interference but did not establish criminal conspiracy between Trump’s campaign and Russia.

Senator Blackburn has been a vocal supporter of former President Trump throughout multiple inquiries regarding his conduct while in office.
