Sen. Marsha Blackburn, U.S. Senator representing Tennessee, published a series of posts on August 6 and 7, 2025, addressing topics including American labor policy, women’s sports at the upcoming Olympics, and crime in Washington D.C.

On August 6, Blackburn wrote, “America First means putting the American worker first.” Later that day, she commented on gender participation in sports: “Men have no business competing with women in the 2028 Olympics in Los Angeles. Thank you @realDonaldTrump for standing up for female athletes.”

On August 7, Blackburn addressed public safety concerns related to criminal justice policies in Washington D.C., stating, “D.C. has empowered violent criminals by releasing them after they commit crimes that threaten law-abiding citizens. To support President Trump’s efforts to Make America Safe Again, I introduced the Federal Carjacking Enforcement Act, which will bring more carjackers to justice.”

Senator Blackburn has been an advocate for stricter crime enforcement measures and has supported initiatives aligned with former President Donald Trump’s policies. The debate over transgender athletes’ participation in sports remains a contentious issue ahead of the 2028 Olympic Games scheduled to be held in Los Angeles.
