Senator Marsha Blackburn, a Republican representing Tennessee, posted a series of statements on her official X (formerly Twitter) account between August 2 and August 3, 2025. The tweets addressed issues ranging from criticism of President Joe Biden’s immigration policies to the productivity of the current Congress and included a religious citation.
On August 2, Blackburn questioned President Biden’s commitment to the rule of law, writing: “Did she really say Joe Biden believed in the ‘rule of law?’ Is that why he allowed gang members, murderers, rapists, and violent criminals to flood our country?”.
Later that evening on August 3, she commented on congressional activity: “This Republican-led Congress has been one of the most productive in recent history, and it’s why Democrats are fighting tooth and nail to obstruct the work Americans elected us to do.”
The following day, Blackburn shared a Bible verse: “‘The Lord is my rock, and my fortress, and my deliverer; my God, my strength, in whom I will trust; my buckler, and the horn of my salvation, and my high tower.’ — Psalm 18:2”.
Blackburn is known for her strong positions on border security and criticism of Democratic immigration policy. Her comments about criminal activity at the border reflect ongoing debates in U.S. politics regarding migration enforcement. She has also been vocal about legislative priorities under Republican leadership in Congress.
