Senator Marsha Blackburn, who represents Tennessee in the U.S. Senate, posted a series of statements on her social media account on March 12, 2026, addressing immigration policy, media accountability, and criticism of Democratic lawmakers.

In her first post of the day, Blackburn credited former President Trump’s administration for reducing illegal immigration: “Because of the Trump administration’s crackdown on illegal immigration, nearly 3 million illegal aliens have left the U.S. The American people gave President Trump a clear mandate, and he continues to deliver in historic fashion.” (March 12, 2026).

Later that afternoon, Blackburn criticized CNN regarding its news coverage: “Forget an apology. If you can’t report facts accurately, you shouldn’t be on air. CNN must be held accountable for misleading the American people.” (March 12, 2026).

In a third statement posted in the evening, she expressed strong condemnation toward Democrats over their handling of certain individuals: “This makes me sick to my stomach. This is the type of vile human being Democrats are protecting over American citizens.” (March 12, 2026).

Blackburn has consistently advocated for border security as part of her broader platform that includes support for limited government and lower taxes. She has also focused on issues such as veterans’ care and online protections for children (official website). In addition to representing all of Tennessee in Washington D.C., she maintains offices across several cities in the state including Memphis and Nashville (official website). Her committee work covers finance; commerce; science and transportation; veterans’ affairs; and judiciary matters (official website).
