Sen. Marsha Blackburn, U.S. Senator representing Tennessee, posted a series of tweets on July 30, 2025, criticizing media coverage of political issues and expressing support for former President Donald Trump’s approach to governance and international negotiations.

In her first post on July 30, Blackburn questioned the media’s focus and intentions regarding coverage of past and current political events: “Why won’t the same outlets that flooded the airwaves with disinformation about the Russia Collusion Hoax cover the latest developments implicating Obama? It’s almost as if they never cared about telling the truth.”

Later that day, she commented on reactions from experts concerning Trump’s policies: “The ‘experts’ are scratching their heads. Maybe someday they’ll learn that when you let President Trump do his job, the American people win.” (July 30, 2025).

In a subsequent tweet on July 30, Blackburn stated: “No longer will the U.S. be bullied at the negotiating table. President Trump is standing up for American workers and families.”

These statements come amid ongoing debates over media practices in reporting politically sensitive investigations and renewed discussions about former President Trump’s leadership style. The “Russia Collusion Hoax” refers to claims promoted by some politicians and commentators alleging misconduct during investigations into Russian interference in U.S. elections—a topic that has divided public opinion since it emerged in 2016.

Senator Blackburn has been an outspoken supporter of Donald Trump throughout his presidency and beyond, often using social media platforms to comment on both domestic policy issues and perceived media bias.
