Sen. Marsha Blackburn, who represents Tennessee in the U.S. Senate, recently addressed a range of issues in a series of posts on her social media account.
On February 5, 2026, Blackburn expressed support for Brian Lea’s nomination to the Western District of Tennessee, stating: “As a Memphis native, top graduate of UGA Law, clerk to Justice Thomas, and DOJ veteran under President Trump—Brian Lea has the experience to serve our nation well. Pleased to support his nomination for the Western District of Tennessee.”
Later that day, she criticized Nashville Electric Service (NES) for its management decisions regarding utility maintenance. On February 5, 2026, Blackburn posted: “Not only did @NESpower cut spending on tree trimming – the company was also fully aware of the risks this posed. Tennesseans deserve better than this failure and negligence.”
In another post from February 5, 2026, Blackburn commented on immigration policy: “Americans want criminal illegal aliens out of our cities, our states, and our country.”
Blackburn is known for her advocacy on issues such as veterans’ care and online child protections. She has supported causes related to limited government, lower taxes, border security, affordable health care, veterans’ support, and protections for children online (official website). As the first woman from Tennessee elected to the U.S. Senate, she has served on committees including Finance; Commerce, Science and Transportation; Veterans’ Affairs; and Judiciary (official website). Her legislative work includes efforts addressing child online safety and access to health care for veterans.
Blackburn maintains offices across several cities in Tennessee—including Memphis—and in Washington D.C., reflecting her statewide representation (official website).
