Senator Marsha Blackburn, representing Tennessee in the U.S. Senate, shared a series of posts on social media highlighting recent legislative efforts and political developments relevant to her constituents.
On August 18, 2025, Blackburn wrote about her visit to Carthage: “Enjoyed having lunch in Carthage today, where I spoke with Tennesseans who are excited about the ‘No Tax on Tips’ provision in the One Big Beautiful Bill. The American people are behind the America First agenda in action.”
The following day, she addressed actions by federal regulators regarding ticket scalping. On August 19, 2025, Blackburn stated: “Under President Trump’s and Chair Ferguson’s leadership, the FTC is finally holding ticket scalpers accountable. This is a victory for consumers and creators across the country. Now, Congress must pass my MAIN Event Ticketing Act to give the FTC more tools to go after bad actors.” The Federal Trade Commission (FTC) is responsible for enforcing consumer protection laws and has taken steps to regulate ticket sales practices.
Later that same day, Blackburn expressed appreciation for investment initiatives in rural areas: “Thank you @SecRollins for investing in Rural Tennessee and Rural America. Under President Trump, we are going to Make Agriculture Great Again.” These remarks come as discussions continue at the federal level over agricultural policy and economic support for rural communities.
Blackburn has been active in supporting legislation aimed at reducing tax burdens on service workers and enhancing oversight of event ticketing practices through her MAIN Event Ticketing Act proposal. She continues to advocate for policies aligned with former President Donald Trump’s “America First” agenda.
