Sophomore Sloane Biddle has been named Missouri Valley Conference (MVC) Co-Golfer of the Week, according to an announcement from the conference office on Apr. 16. She shares this week’s honor with Jane Grankina from Evansville.

The recognition comes after Biddle finished fourth at the Jan Weaver Invitational in Murray, Kentucky, where she recorded rounds of 73, 71, and 71 for a total score of 215. The Belmont Bruins women’s golf team also placed fourth in the tournament.

Biddle’s performance at the invitational marks her fifth top-five finish this season, which includes one win and two runner-up results. She has competed in nine events so far and has not finished lower than fifteenth place.

This is the fourth time this season that Biddle has received weekly conference honors and her sixth time overall. She joins former Bruin Cameron Fish as one of only two Belmont golfers to earn Golfer of the Week honors four times in a single season.

For the current season, Biddle leads her team with a scoring average of 73.0 and has recorded eight rounds at par or better. The Bruins are scheduled to compete next at the MVC Championship taking place Sunday through Tuesday in Silvis, Illinois.
