Sophomore Sloane Biddle has been named Missouri Valley Conference (MVC) Golfer of the Week, according to an announcement from the conference office. This marks her third time receiving the honor this season and the fifth time in her collegiate career.

Biddle earned this recognition after winning the individual title at the Huntsville Intercollegiate tournament in Alabama earlier this week. She posted rounds of 71, 74, and 69 for a total score of 214, finishing three strokes ahead of her closest competitor. The Belmont Bruins women’s golf team tied for third place overall at the event.

This victory is Biddle’s second career individual title. She now joins Cameron Fish and three other Belmont golfers as one of only five players in program history to win two individual titles. Her total score of 214 (-3) ties for the second lowest 54-hole score in program history and is also the second lowest relative to par.

So far this season, Biddle leads her team with a scoring average of 73.2 and has finished in the top five in three out of six events. She also ranks first on her team for rounds at par or better, with four such performances.

The Bruins are scheduled to compete next at the Nashville Invitational on March 23-24 at Hermitage Golf Club in Old Hickory, Tennessee.
