The #TNChamber congratulates Tennessee Tire Recycling (TTR), a division of Rockwood Sustainable Solutions, on receiving a $750, 000 tire recycling grant from Tennessee Department of Environment and Conservation’s Tire Environmental Act Program (TEAP).
The TEAP grants are funded by a flat fee assessed on the first retail sale of a new motor vehicle to be titled and registered in Tennessee based on the number of wheels and is then used to fund projects that best result in beneficial uses for waste tires.
With this grant plus the required matching funds, TTR will be able to recycle 700,000 tires annually!
