The Tennessee State men's track and field team wrapped up the two-day Ohio Valley Conference Indoor Championships on Thursday afternoon with 65.6 total points to place fourth as a team.
The Flying Tigers had athletes earn OVC Championships as Kenyon Johnson logged a first place in the triple jump with a leap of 15.40m. Zavante Chichester took home first place in the 60m hurdles with a time of 8.06 to take home the Championship.
David Dorsey had a good afternoon for the Flying Tigers, finishing second in the triple jump with a 15.06m, while he notched a fourth-place finish in the long jump with a 7.30m. Keandric Verge was right behind Dorsey in the triple jump as he came in third place.
Jon'Terio Horton notched a fourth-place finish in the high jump after he cleared 6"6". Forrest Saffo notched a top-five finish on Tuesday afternoon as he earned a third-place finish in the men's weight throw with a toss of 18.96m.
TSU will now get ready for its outdoor season, which is set to begin on March 23 as the Tigers will compete in the Morehouse relays in Atlanta, Ga.
