United States Senator Bill Hagerty recently appeared on Varney & Co. on Fox Business to discuss his proposed legislation aimed at preventing the Biden-Harris Administration from selling parts of the border wall. Hagerty, who is a member of several Senate committees and a former U.S. Ambassador to Japan, expressed his concerns about the current administration's actions regarding the border wall.

Hagerty stated, "It’s certainly a step in the right direction. I think it just amazes the American people how out of touch the Biden-Harris Administration is." He criticized the decision to sell off parts of the border wall, describing it as "a slap in the face of the American taxpayer" and labeling it as part of what he believes will be remembered as "the worst presidency in modern American history."

The senator also addressed what he perceives as efforts by the Biden-Harris Administration to complicate matters for President-elect Trump’s incoming administration. Hagerty mentioned sending letters to various officials and agencies demanding adherence to legal standards and cautioning against actions that might obstruct Trump's forthcoming term.

In addition, Hagerty commented on Senator John Fetterman's willingness to consider Trump's cabinet nominees: “It’s not unreasonable at all to take a look... But I think it’s important that we take an open mind as we look at these particular nominees." He emphasized that Democrats should heed public sentiment, suggesting that many Americans feel dissatisfied with current leadership.

Hagerty concluded by highlighting a positive outlook among Americans regarding Trump’s return: “I feel a sense of relief across the nation... you see optimism." He noted improvements in consumer confidence and business sentiments, citing significant investment plans like SoftBank's $100 billion announcement alongside Trump.
