Tennessee State University’s women’s basketball team was defeated by Lindenwood (MO) with a final score of 75–70 on Thursday night at the Gentry Center. Despite a strong performance on the boards, the Lady Tigers were unable to overcome their opponent in this Ohio Valley Conference matchup.
Erin Martin led Tennessee State with a double-double, scoring 18 points and grabbing 10 rebounds. She was supported by Kiki Roberts, who collected a game-high 11 rebounds, and Aaniya Webb, who contributed 13 points along with two blocks. Genesis Harris also reached double figures, finishing with 10 points.
The Lady Tigers demonstrated strength in rebounding throughout the game, out-rebounding Lindenwood 38–30 overall and securing 13 offensive rebounds. These efforts resulted in eight second-chance points for Tennessee State. Martin played a key role in generating extra possessions by collecting five offensive rebounds.
The contest began evenly before Tennessee State took an early lead following a short run capped by Roberts. However, Lindenwood responded to take control late in the first quarter. The Lions maintained their advantage into halftime despite a run from Tennessee State that narrowed the gap to four points.
In the third quarter, Tennessee State tied the game and briefly moved ahead after another scoring run but trailed entering the fourth quarter. The Lady Tigers continued to focus on inside scoring during the middle quarters but could not regain the lead in the closing minutes. Two three-pointers accounted for six of their fourth-quarter points as they ultimately fell short.
Following this loss, Tennessee State’s record stands at 4–22 overall and 3–14 in OVC play.

Tennessee State will host SIUE at home on Saturday, February 21 for their final regular-season OVC home game. The event will also serve as Senior Day to honor graduating student-athletes prior to tip-off.
