Tennessee State University’s women’s basketball team will play its final home game of the 2025–26 season on Saturday, February 21, facing the SIUE Cougars at the Gentry Center. The matchup, which is also Senior Day for Tennessee State, begins at 4 p.m. CT and is part of Ohio Valley Conference (OVC) competition.
This game marks an important moment as Tennessee State seeks to maintain momentum in conference play while protecting their home court against SIUE, a team contending for OVC standings position.
In their previous outing, Tennessee State played Lindenwood at home on Thursday. Erin Martin led scoring efforts with 18 points off the bench. Aaniya Webb contributed 13 points and made two three-point shots. The Lady Tigers converted on 31 attempts overall and finished with 16 points from bench players.
The history between Tennessee State and SIUE goes back to the 2010-11 season. They have met 24 times previously, with SIUE leading the all-time series by a margin of 19-6. Last season, Tennessee State secured a significant win over SIUE at home with a score of 77-58.
Saturday’s contest gives Tennessee State another chance to close out its home schedule positively and possibly improve its record in this ongoing series.
