Vanderbilt Commodores will travel to face the Missouri Tigers in a three-game baseball series beginning Friday, May 7. The games are scheduled for Friday at 6 p.m., Saturday at 4 p.m., and Sunday at 1 p.m., with broadcasts on SECN+ and radio coverage on 102.5 The Game.

The matchup is notable as Vanderbilt leads the all-time series against Missouri, having won each of the last five series since 2019. Their previous visit to Columbia in 2023 saw Vanderbilt win two out of three games, with Chris Maldonado contributing two hits and two runs batted in during the opener.

Several Commodores players have had standout seasons. Brodie Johnston ranks second in the Southeastern Conference (SEC) in hits and holds top-30 positions in batting average, home runs, runs batted in, and slugging percentage. Johnston also has a team-leading number of multi-hit games this season and ranks twelfth nationally among third basemen for defensive runs saved according to D1Baseball’s Synergy Leaderboard. Mike Mancini has hit nine home runs during SEC play—third most in the league—and leads Vanderbilt with sixteen stolen bases on as many attempts.

Braden Holcomb leads the team with sixteen doubles and is second in home runs at thirteen; his sixty-eight hits are tied for third-most in the SEC. Ryker Waite was named one of fifty semifinalists for the Brooks Wallace Award honoring college baseball’s top shortstop; he currently leads Vanderbilt with thirty-eight walks while ranking sixth nationally among shortstops for defensive runs saved.

Vanderbilt’s offense has matched its program record by hitting one hundred home runs this season—the same mark set in 2019—and currently ranks fourth among Division I teams. The Commodores have also excelled defensively by turning forty-three double plays, more than any other SEC team this year.
