Vanderbilt lost 4-1 to Missouri in the baseball series finale on May 10 at Taylor Stadium in Columbia, Missouri.

The result gave Missouri the series win over Vanderbilt. The Commodores scored first after Ryker Waite was hit by a pitch and later crossed home plate following a defensive error by Missouri. This early run put Vanderbilt ahead 1-0 in the top of the first inning.

Missouri responded quickly, scoring three runs in their half of the first inning. The Tigers capitalized on a leadoff walk, followed by three singles and an RBI groundout before Vanderbilt could get out of the inning. After these four runs between both teams in the opening frame, neither side managed to score again until late in the game.

Jacob Faulkner took over pitching duties for Vanderbilt from the second inning onward and held Missouri scoreless for 5.2 innings while allowing only two hits. However, Missouri extended its lead with a leadoff triple and sacrifice fly in the bottom of the eighth, making it 4-1.

Vanderbilt was unable to rally during its final at-bats as Missouri secured both the game and series victory. The Commodores will return home to Nashville to conclude their regular season with a three-game set against South Carolina starting Thursday at Hawkins Field.
