Vanderbilt University announced on May 19 that Artemis Aslanisvili, a former Clemson sophomore, has joined the women’s tennis team for the 2026-27 season.

The addition of Aslanisvili is expected to strengthen Vanderbilt’s roster. She brings experience and a strong record from her time at Clemson, which could have an immediate effect on the team’s performance in upcoming competitions.

Head coach Aleke Tsoubanos said, “We are super excited about the addition of Artemis to our program and seeing her play this upcoming fall. I really admired the way she competed at Clemson. She brings a style of play, physicality and energy that will make an immediate impact on our team. We all look forward to welcoming her to Vanderbilt in August.”

Aslanisvili joins Vanderbilt after finishing a season with 24 singles wins for Clemson and maintaining an undefeated dual match record of 18-0. Her recent achievements include a singles win against Vanderbilt freshman Erin Pearce during the second round of the Nashville NCAA Regional and a ranked victory over Tennessee’s No. 82 Elim Yan earlier in the year.

Looking ahead, Aslanisvili is set to arrive in August and compete with her new teammates as they prepare for fall matches.
