Graduates earn 141 degrees from Fisk University

About 26.2 percent of the 141 degrees and certificates handed out by Fisk University in 2017-18 were to students in psychology programs, making them the most popular programs that year, according to the latest disclosure from the U.S. Department of Education.

The agency's National Center for Education Statistics shows the private not-for-profit institution in Nashville conferred 34 bachelor's degrees and 3 master's degrees in psychology programs.

But the single most popular program was for a bachelor's degree in general psychology. Data shows the school gave out 34 bachelor's degrees in general psychology, followed by 32 bachelor's degrees in general business/commerce and 18 bachelor's degrees in general biology/biological sciences.

The university enrolled 780 students for 2017-18, including 743 in undergraduate programs and 37 in graduate programs.
