After a second-place finish in the Gulf Coast Athletic Conference last season, Fisk University Head Volleyball Coach knew what was needed. Her team was solid but lacked size. Today the team announced the signing of Delaney Farver (FR/Detroit, MI), a 6'2 middle from Detroit, Michigan.
"We are excited to add Delaney to our team," said Enderle. "She is a tireless worker off and on the court. As she continues to develop, she will add to our core on offense. I believe her blocking game will speak for itself come conference time."
Over the years, Detroit has been a hotbed of athletic talent for Fisk in other sports. Farver is the first volleyball player from there in the Enderle era. Off the court at Detroit Edison Public School Academy High School, Farver was a member of the National Honors Society holding a 4.3 grade point average. On the court, she garnered plenty of accolades including All conference honors, she led her team in kills and was named her team's top defensive player. She was also an all-conference all academic team recipient. She looks to get her degree in Business Administration. She feels that Fisk is a perfect fit for her to obtain all the goals that she has set out for herself.
"I chose Fisk University for their dedication to provide several opportunities for their students inside and outside the classroom." Said Farver. "Being able to go away from home and enter a welcoming environment with a family-feel is important to me. I can't wait to get on campus."
