Trevecca Nazarene University Volleyball | Ellie Buffler Named Great Midwest Offensive Player of the Week

The Great Midwest Athletic Conference released its Player of the Week selections on Monday with Trevecca Nazarene University volleyball senior Ellie Buffler being named the South Division Offensive Player of the Week.

On the week, Buffler collected 39 kills, 23 digs, and seven service aces helping the Trojans to a perfect 2-0 record by producing a pair of double-doubles.

The senior had 21 kills and 11 digs against Malone and 18 kills with 12 digs in the win versus Walsh.

On the week, Buffler amassed 4.88 kills per set in a pair of road games while hitting .266.

Buffler sits just six kills away from moving into second place all-time in Trevecca NCAA-era history.

Buffler's 21 kills versus Malone is her 13th match this season with 10 or more kills and her first 20+ kill match this season. Buffler has produced four 20+ kill matches throughout her career.

Buffler is the service ace leader in the conference and has the second most in the country with 49. She is third in active career service ace leaders in all of Division II.

It was a historic road trip for the Trojans, for the first time in school history they won on the road at Walsh and Malone in a season. It is the first regular season win at Walsh and the second at ODU.

Trevecca has won five in a row, the second-longest win streak in the Great Midwest.
