Lipscomb University Stogner & Hudepohl Headline Volleyball Weekly Honors

Lipscomb volleyball's Caroline Stogner and Sophia Hudepohl combined to being home three of the four ASUN weekly honors for volleyball as announced by the league office Monday afternoon. Stogner was tapped for ASUN Player of the Week while Hudepohl's performance earned her both Freshman and Setter of the Week honors.
 
Hudepohl continued to demonstrate her comfort on the collegiate level this week as she recorded 81 assists in two three-set sweeps of Lipscomb's opponents with zero ball-handling errors. After starting in both matches, Hudepohl averaged 13.50 assists per set as she helped the Bisons put away 98 kills.
 
At a clip of 16.33 kills per set, Hudepohl directed a dominant offense with a .406 hitting percentage for the squad. Hudepohl herself added five kills to the Bisons' tally. Hudepohl also produced for the Bisons from the serving line with a pair of aces to add to a .750 serving percentage.
 
Defensively, she picked up seven digs and put away three blocks on the weekend, contributing to Lipscomb's 7.5 total blocks. Following her 41-assist night at North Alabama, Hudepohl is now just four assists shy of the 1,000-assist mark in just her first collegiate season.
 
Stogner turned in two dominating performances for the Bisons this week. With starts in both of the Bisons' matches, Stogner put away 25 kills on a team-high .600 hitting percentage with just one error over the two contests.
 
The Plano, Texas product also added an assist and five service aces to her team-high total of 30 points for the week as her 25 kills took her tied to 14th in the ASUN for total kills. Defensively, Stogner scooped up 19 digs in the two contests, second on the squad just two digs behind libero Delaney Smith.
 
Stogner recorded 14 kills in the Bisons' Friday match against Kennesaw State, ending the match with career-high .765 hitting percentage with just one error on 17 total attempts. She also recorded an assist and a trio of service aces in the contest and earned her seventh double-double of the season as she scooped up 12 digs against the Owls. In Lipscomb's Sunday match, Stogner recorded 11 kills with zero errors for a .478 hitting percentage.
