United States Senator Bill Hagerty recently appeared on Fox Business's Kudlow to discuss several pressing issues. The conversation centered around the National Border Patrol Council's endorsement of former President Donald Trump, as well as criticisms of Kamala Harris and Chuck Schumer’s proposed "border bill."

Hagerty stated, “Absolutely, they did. And the reason they did is they know that he means what he says. This fake border bill that Kamala Harris and Chuck Schumer put forward was simply a ruse.” He expressed confidence in Trump's ability to secure the border effectively.

The senator also criticized taxpayer-funded flights for illegal migrants, saying, “It doesn’t make any sense... Every single Democrat voted to continue using taxpayer dollars to support flights from places like Haiti, Cuba, Nicaragua, Venezuela." He highlighted an increase in such flights compared to last year.

Hagerty addressed concerns about Venezuelan gangs allegedly taking over apartment complexes. He criticized media figures for being out of touch with these issues: “The partisan media are so out of touch... They’re not focused on the real problems here right now.”

Looking ahead to a potential second Trump administration and Republican Senate majority, Hagerty emphasized collaboration with Trump: “I’ve discussed with the number of people that are running for Senate leadership that the most important criteria from my perspective is their ability to get along with Donald Trump.” He noted key figures potentially running for leadership positions and outlined priorities like tax reform and deregulatory measures reminiscent of 2017 initiatives.
