House Committee on Homeland Security Chairman Mark E. Green expressed support for President-elect Donald Trump's recent appointments to the Department of Homeland Security and his selection of White House advisors focused on border security policy.

In a statement, Green emphasized the importance of securing America's borders and addressing what he referred to as the "historic Biden-Harris border crisis." He stated that ending illegal immigration will be a top priority in Washington in the coming year.

Green praised the team assembled by Trump, indicating an eagerness to collaborate with them on strengthening border security policies, enhancing interior enforcement, and empowering DHS law enforcement. "There is much work to do," Green noted, adding that the committee will closely work with Trump's team to ensure the success of DHS in its homeland security mission.
