70 percent of applicants to Watkins College of Art Design & Film were admitted for fall 2018

At Watkins College of Art Design & Film, 83 percent of undergraduate students are traditional students - age 24 or younger - and 63 percent are female, according to the latest disclosure from the U.S. Department of Education.

The four-year private not-for-profit institution in Nashville enrolled 193 students in fall 2018, including 184 in undergraduate and nine in graduate programs, data shows. 12.5 percent of undergraduates transferred from another college or university.

72 percent of undergraduates are residents of Tennessee, and 24 percent are residents of other states.

The undergraduate student body is comprised mostly of students who identify as white (65 percent) and Black or African American (16 percent).

The school admitted 70 percent of the 152 students who applied for fall 2018. Of those who were admitted, 27 percent enrolled.
