Cost of college went up for all students at National College-Nashville

Tuition and fees rose 16.6 percent for 2018-19 at National College-Nashville, according to recent data from the U.S. Department of Education.

Tennessee students paid $17,361 to attend the two-year private for-profit institution this year – $2,475 more than the $14,886 charged for 2017-18.

Data shows 94 percent of full-time undergraduates who started school in 2015-16 received student financial aid in some form. In all, 17 students received grants or scholarships totaling $118,577 and 17 students took out student loans totaling more than $93,202.

Including all undergraduates (217), 130 students used grants or scholarships totaling $669,760, and 73 students took out $429,344 in federal student loans.
