The Bulldogs snap a four-game losing streak to claim a Gulf Coast Athletic Conference (GCAC) victory defeating Wiley College University 63-55. The weekend match-up occurred during the third GCAC Pod Weekend at Tougaloo College, the host school.
Transfer Sophomore Tyon Thompson (SO/Cincinnati, OH) led the Bulldog offense with 22 points. Senior Ethan Jones (SR/Memphis, TN) had a double-double performance scoring 13 points and adding 13 rebounds. Junior Jayden Lockett (JR/Nashville, TN) added 17 points and seven rebounds, while Junior Michael Ashley (JR/Atlanta, GA) contributed 12 rebounds and eight points in the Bulldog win.
The Bulldogs previously faced Wiley College on January 21st, which ended in a 63-55 loss for the Bulldogs.
The Wiley triumph moves the Bulldogs to 4-6 in the GCAC and 5-13 overall for the season.
