How It Happened
Tennessee State struggled out of the gate, falling behind 34-24 heading into halftime.
After intermission, Tennessee State kept the Eagles from increasing their lead before going on a 5-0 run, finished off by Boyd's three, to shrink the deficit to 60-55 with 4:57 to go in the contest. Morehead State responded and outscored the Tigers, ending the game with a final score of 74-64. Tennessee State shot well from three-point range in the half, hitting seven shots from deep to score 21 of its 40 points.
