United States Senator Bill Hagerty from Tennessee has announced his endorsement of Senator Rick Scott for the position of Senate Majority Leader. In a statement released today, Hagerty attributed the Republican Senate majority to "President Trump’s massive coattails," highlighting victories in traditionally Democratic states such as Pennsylvania, Ohio, and Montana.
Hagerty emphasized the importance of having a leader who can collaborate with former President Trump to promote an "America First agenda." He stated, "Any leader of this new majority must be able to work hand-in-hand with President Trump to advance his America First agenda."
Expressing his support for Scott, Hagerty said, "The Senate must lean into advancing this agenda. That’s why I want to see a Senate Majority Leader who can join me in embracing the Trump agenda, which will unify Senate Republicans." He confirmed that he would vote for Rick Scott on Wednesday.
