United States Senator Bill Hagerty appeared on CNBC's Squawk Box to discuss his endorsement of Senator Rick Scott for Senate Majority Leader and the collaboration between Congress and the Trump Administration to implement President Donald Trump's economic agenda.

Senator Hagerty expressed his support for Rick Scott, stating, "I campaigned with President Trump throughout the past six weeks—I was on the trail with potential Senate candidates—what I could feel is very real. There’s a palpable desire for change here in America." He emphasized the importance of aligning with Trump's agenda, citing widespread public support: "It’s been thirty-six years since we’ve seen a landslide like this; that is a sea change."

Discussing the Trump agenda, Hagerty highlighted the need to address promises made during the campaign. He mentioned efforts to improve government efficiency through appointments like Vivek Ramaswamy and Elon Musk. "There’s a huge opportunity to reduce costs there," he said, noting potential impacts on inflation through deregulatory measures and renewed focus on oil and gas industries.

Hagerty also spoke about Congress' role in working with the Department of Government Efficiency. He stressed collaboration across branches: "That’s what we’re going to need; that’s what the American public expects." The goal is an efficient economy benefiting Americans.

On tax policy, Hagerty underlined its significance: “If you think about...getting a tax package through early in this coming year—that will incentivize investment.” He believes such measures are crucial for economic growth and addressing deficits.

Regarding tariffs, Hagerty called for reciprocal trade terms with developed economies: "We do not have reciprocal arrangements there. That needs to be fixed." He sees this as essential for rebuilding America's manufacturing base and ensuring national security.

Hagerty concluded by advocating regulatory reform aimed at strengthening markets rather than implementing social policies, recalling successes from Trump's first term.
