United States Senator Bill Hagerty appeared on Fox News' "Your World With Neil Cavuto" to address concerns about the Democratic response to President Donald Trump's cabinet selections. As a member of the Senate Appropriations Committee, Hagerty expressed his views on what he termed as Democrats’ "fake hysteria" and discussed his support for Senator Rick Scott's bid for Senate Majority Leader.

Hagerty criticized the Department of Justice (DOJ), stating it requires reform due to alleged misuse by Democrats. He remarked, “If you look at what’s happened with the Department of Justice (DOJ), it’s in desperate need of reform…[Democrats] have completely weaponized the DOJ, going after parents at school board meetings." He further commented on actions taken against political opponents and emphasized that reform is necessary. "We need to fix that now," he stated, supporting President Trump's right to choose his nominees.

In addition, Hagerty spoke about endorsing Senator Rick Scott for Senate Majority Leader. Despite Scott not securing the position, Hagerty praised him for his willingness to compete. “I don’t think it was a blow to Rick Scott at all. I admire him for having the courage to step up and to put his hat in the ring,” he said. Ultimately, Senator John Thune won the leadership role with unanimous support from colleagues.

Hagerty concluded by emphasizing the need for change in Washington and aligning with President Trump’s objectives following recent mandates from American voters.
