The Trevecca Nazarene University women's golf team is hosting their fall version of the Music City Invitational and is in eighth place overall after Monday's (10.17) first round.
Anna Chew came in as the low Trojan with a four-over-par 76. The junior is tied for fifteenth overall in a field of 79.
Trevecca turned in a 320 on a sunny, but cool (high of 60) and windy day on the Rutherford County course.
The teams are scheduled for a 9:00 AM Shotgun Start again on Tuesday. Trevecca will play alongside players from Walsh, Christian Brothers, and Drury again on Tuesday.

Gabriela Mead and Makenzie Norwood finished tied for second on the par-three holes with a one-under-par and an average of 2.75 per hole.
Anna Chew is seventh in the field on the par-four holes with a 4.10 average (one-over).
Emma McCloskey is fourteenth on the par-five holes averaging 5.00 (even-par).
Anna Chew, Makenzie Norwood, Emma McCloskey, and Sara Blake Coley all recorded 11 pars through the first 18 holes. They are tied for fifteenth in the field of 79.
Anna Chew led the team with two birdies. Jodie Taylor, Emma McCloskey, Gabriela Mead, and Makenzie Norwood.
As a team, Trevecca recorded 51 pars and four birdies. The 51 pars ranked fourth through the first round.
THE REST OF THE FIELD
UT Permian Basin is leading the team category as they paced the field with a 283. Tove Brunell of Missouri – St. Louis leads the chase for the Medalist honors with an opening round three-under-par 69.
UP NEXT
The Trojans host the final round of the Music City Invitational at the Old Fort Golf Club in Murfreesboro on Tuesday.
The team closes the month and the fall portion of their season at the Kentucky Wesleyan Invite on October 29-30 at Owensboro's The Pearl Club.
