Trevecca Nazarene University's Ellie Buffler earned Tennessee Sports Writers Association (TSWA) Player of the Week honors, registering 33 kills and 29 digs with one double-double in two matches for the Trojans.
The Nashville, Tenn., native produced 19 kills and 21 digs in a come-from-behind five-set victory at Kentucky Wesleyan. The senior added 14 kills and eight digs versus Northwood University. Buffler leads the team with 337 kills and service aces with 67.
Buffler earned the TSWA honor earlier this year on Oct. 11. She's been honored twice this season as the Great Midwest Player of the Week.
The Trojans head into their final week of regular season play in second place in the Great Midwest South Division. They play at Ohio Dominican Friday and Cedarville on Saturday.
