Lipscomb women's soccer continued to impress amongst top NCAA Division I teams as four of their players earned spots on the United Soccer Coaches Division I All-Region Teams in the All-South Region. Logan McFadden, Shelby Craft, and Kelli Beiler earned spots on the First Team All-Region while Kale'a Perry represented the Bisons on the Third Team All-Region.
Logan McFadden – First Team All-Region
McFadden earned her selection after an impressive season on the back line for the Bisons. McFadden was one of four Bisons to play and start in all 19 of the squad's matches this season. Under her direction, Lipscomb's defense held opponents to an average of 1.00 goals per game with just 186 shots against the Bisons all season compared to their own 353 shots. Of those 186 shots, McFadden helped direct the defense to allow just 88 shots on goal. With her input, the Bisons outscored their opponents 39-19 this season to which McFadden adder her seventh career goal. She recorded said goal to record the first goal of the season against the Vanderbilt Commodores to end the match in a 1-1 draw on September 8. In total, McFadden recorded six shots, four of which landed on goal with a total of two points on the season. For her efforts, McFadden was named to the 2022 ASUN First Team All-Conference, her second time receiving the honor.
Shelby Craft – First Team All-Region
Craft earned her spot on the First Team All-Region following a season in which she dominated for the Bisons as a defensive midfielder. Craft was one of four Bisons to play and start in all 19 matches this season. With her contributions on both ends of the pitch, the Bisons out-shot their opponents 353-186 with 165 of their shots landing on target to their opponents' 88 shots on goal. As Craft added a career-high five goals to the Bisons' total tally of 39, out-scoring their opponents by 20 goals over the course of the season. Craft was an aggressive attacker this season, she ranks third on the squad for shots at 38, landing 17 of them on target. With the addition of five assists, Craft concluded the season with a career-high 15 points. For her contributions, Craft was a three-time ASUN Defensive Player of the Week – putting her up to five total selections for the honor – as well as earning a unanimous selection to the ASUN First Team All-Conference, her third consecutive selection to the team.
Kelli Beiler – First Team All-Region
Beiler claimed her spot on the First Team All-Region after a dominant season for the Mount Pleasant Mills, Pa. product. Beiler made a decisive return to play following an injury early last season that kept her out for the remainder of the year with the first goal of the season for the Bisons to lead them to a 4-0 victory in Lipscomb's season opener against Tennessee Tech on just one shot (8/21/22). Beiler continued to find the back of the net from there on out, recording a team, conference, and career-high 12 goals this season. She ended the season tied for 67th in total points (24), tied for 24th in the nation in total goals (12), 15th for goals per game (0.67), and tied for 13th in game-winning goals (5). Within the ASUN, Beiler led the conference in total goals, total points, penalty kicks, and tied for 1st in game-winning goals with five. With her input, the Bisons outscored their opponents 39-19, outshot them 353-186, and were more accurate shooters with 165 shots on goal to their opponents' 88. For her efforts, Beiler was named ASUN Player of the Week on October 4, the ASUN Player of the Year, the ASUN Scholar-Athlete of the Year, unanimously to the ASUN First Team All-Conference, and the ASUN All-Academic team.
Kale'a Perry – Third Team All-Region
Perry earned her selection to the USC Third Team All-Region following a big season for the forward. Perry ended the season tied for second in total goals with five. An aggressive offensive presence, Perry recorded a team, conference, and career-high 71 shots over the course of the season, landing a team, conference, and career-high 33 of them on-target. Perry's reputation as persistent offensive presence helped open up her teammates, leading Perry to become the team leader and second in the conference in assists with seven, a mark that tied fer for 63rd in the country. Between her goals and assists, Perry collected a career-high 17 total points this season, tying her for third in the ASUN. For her contributions, Perry was named to the 2022 ASUN First Team All-Conference.
