Emma Palmer, a junior on the Trevecca Nazarene University women's basketball team, is the Great Midwest Athletic Conference Player of the Week. Palmer averaged 19 points, ten rebounds, and two blocks while leading the Trojans to a 2-0 week.

Trevecca defeated Lake Erie College and Walsh University, both at Trojan Fieldhouse, this week. The win over Walsh is the first victory for the Trojans over the Cavaliers since 2018. The Cavaliers had won six in a row.

Palmer led the Trojans to a 2-0 week averaging a double-double with 19 points per game and 10 rebounds per game while shooting 68% from the field. For the week, the 6-2 post player shot 68% (17-25) from the field. She is shooting 63.6% from the field on the year.

The Mt. Juliet, Tennessee native scored a career-high 24 points versus Walsh and added 14 rebounds for her second double-double of the year. The 14 rebounds are the second-most in a game in her career. She had 16 in a game last season. It is her fifth career game with 20 or more points. She was 11-18 from the field against Walsh.

Palmer, who started her collegiate career at Northern Kentucky, scored 18 points with six rebounds while hitting 6-7 from the field.

The 2-0 week gives the Trojans nine wins on the season, equaling the most wins since the 2018-2019 team won 12 games.

The Trojans, who have already eclipsed their overall and conference win totals from a year ago, play at Tiffin University and the University of Findlay this week.
