Josh Carman/Baseball Assistant Coach | Trevecca Nazarene University

Trevecca Nazarene University baseball head coach Chase Sain welcomes new assistant coach Josh Carman.

Carmen, who is not unfamiliar in local baseball circles, joins Sain's staff ahead of the 2023 Trojan baseball season.

Chase Sain said of Carman joining the Trojan coaching staff, "We are excited to add Josh Carmen and his family to our coaching staff and Trevecca Baseball family. Josh is well-known and respected in the Middle Tennessee baseball community. Josh is already bringing knowledge and experience to our program which our student-athletes and coaches are benefitting from."

Carman is a lifelong resident of Middle Tennessee with 33 years' worth of connections throughout the baseball community as a player and a coach and with definitive ties to Trevecca baseball royalty.

Carman works at Full Count Ministries as the Director of Baseball. Carman's responsibilities include the formation of the High School Fall League and serving as the General Manager of the Collegiate Summer League team that plays in the Ohio Valley Collegiate Summer League as well as all baseball-related initiatives both domestically and Internationally for Full Count Ministries.

Prior to serving Full Count Ministries, Carman coached for 14 years at the High School level as an assistant and head coach, most recently at Beech High School.

Carman coached eight players in High School who eventually signed to play professionally.

His responsibilities on the Hill include coaching infielders, catchers, and hitting.

His connections to Trevecca include being the nephew of Trevecca's first All-American in any sport, former Trojan baseball standout Kenny Thomas.  Thomas is in the Trevecca athletic hall of fame.

Carman coached fellow current TNU assistant Brad Jarreau in high school and last summer coached current Trojans Henry Mosley and Caleb Marks with the Full Count Rhythm.

Carman and his wife, Brooke, have 4 children - Kylee, Kennedy, Tai, and LiWei.
