WASHINGTON—United States Senator Bill Hagerty (R-TN) led a press conference at the U.S. Capitol today to introduce the Equal Representation Act. This legislation aims to ensure that only legal citizens are considered when determining Congressional districts and the Electoral College map for presidential elections.

During the press conference, Senator Hagerty addressed the issue of illegal immigration and its impact on the nation. He highlighted the recent surge in illegal border crossings since President Joe Biden took office, stating, "We have some eight to ten million people that have entered America just since Joe Biden took office. Children in my state, and in every state, are being poisoned by fentanyl. Human trafficking is occurring. It is an absolute disaster."

Senator Hagerty then referred to a video where Congresswoman Yvette Clark from Brooklyn, New York, openly discussed the Democrats' intentions with illegal immigrants. He quoted her saying, "She needs these illegal immigrants for the purposes of 'redistricting.'" This statement revealed the Democrats' strategy of using illegal immigrants to manipulate the allocation of congressional districts and electoral votes.

Currently, the United States counts the total number of people, regardless of their citizenship status, to determine congressional districts and electoral votes. This system allows Democrats to exploit the presence of illegal immigrants in sanctuary cities located in blue states. Cities like San Francisco, Los Angeles, Chicago, and New York attract illegal immigrants, who are then included in the population count of these cities, ultimately influencing the allocation of congressional districts and electoral votes.

As a result, Senator Hagerty argued that "the limousine liberal in California has much more power in their vote than the single mom in Tennessee." To address this imbalance, he introduced the Equal Representation Act, which seeks to clarify that only American citizens should be counted when determining congressional districts and electoral votes.

Senator Hagerty emphasized the importance of this legislation, stating, "We need to make certain that only citizens are counted for the purposes of allocating congressional districts and electoral votes. That's why we are introducing this legislation." He believes that by implementing this act, the allocation of congressional districts and electoral votes will accurately represent the American citizens.

The Equal Representation Act aims to address the issue of counting illegal immigrants in determining electoral college votes and congressional district apportionment. By focusing on the inclusion of only legal citizens, the legislation seeks to ensure a fair and accurate representation of the American people in the political process.
